Study Visit to Thessaloniki
On 28th and 29th of May 2025 project team members from District government Burgas and regional stakeholders from Burgas region – Mrs. Jana Ivanova, project expert from Municipality Tsarevo and Mr. Lubomir Atanasov from BURGASBUS visited Thessaloniki, Greece for a study visit in the frames of STEP2CleanPlan Project.
On the first day the host organization ANATOLIKI S.A. presented the initiatives to tackle climate change from Municipality Kalamaria and Municipality Therme, Hellenic Institute of Transport, Mobility Living Lab Experience and Thessaloniki Metro and its impacts to the transportation system of Thessaloniki.
On the second day of the study visit Municipality of Thessaloniki made a presentation on the Climate Action Plan and involvement in the EU Mission for 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities and Region of Central Macedonia Presentation on the Thessaloniki Observatory for Sustainable Urban Development.
The study visit concluded in the Ministry of Interior (Sector Macedonia–Thrace) with a guided tour of the Ministry’s energy upgraded infrastructure.
